First steps!

Just a quick post to remind myself that Amalia started walking this week!  September 12, Julio, Sofia, Sarah and Grandma were in the living room, and Sofia and I were cuddling in the chair by the window while Amalia stood by the coffee table.  She let go of the table and turned toward us, and instead of dropping to crawl as she normally does, she took two steps to reach us!  We all cheered and clapped and she took steps between Julio and me, and Mom and Julio several times before tiring and refusing to do it.  The last two days, she has tried a few times, but mostly decides it is too hard and gives up and crawls.  True walking is coming soon, I know it!  She is so funny - her little top half goes so much faster than her feet and she really has to concentrate to balance.  Usually, she doesn't concentrate and tips right over because she is in such a hurry to get to where she's going.
